The bochurim of Yeshiva Ketana Lubavitch of London returned from a two-week retreat in Llandudno, North Wales, where they continued their learning and davening in a refreshing new setting — with more boys than ever before taking part.

Llandudno, a quiet seaside town surrounded by nature and overlooking the sea from the Great Orme, a mountain on the Welsh coast, offers a peaceful and distraction-free environment. With clean mountain air and no city noise, it was the ideal place for young talmidim devoted to Torah and Chassidus to focus on ruchniyus, recharge, and strengthen both body and soul. The Chabad Retreat Centre, established specifically for hosting frum groups, served as the base for the trip.

Led by their teachers Rabbi Moishe Zavdi and Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Schtroks, and supported by a group of older bochurim, the trip gave the boys a chance to keep up their regular seder and shiurim while benefiting from the peaceful change of scenery and fresh air.

Shabbos was one of the highlights of the trip, with heartfelt davening, uplifting seudos, and a spirited farbrengen that gave a chayus to the Bochurim. The strong atmosphere of Chassidus a deep impact on all who took part.

Over the course of the two weeks, a number of rabbonim and guests visited the retreat centre and shared their admiration for the bochurim’s conduct and commitment. Their serious approach to learning, sincere davening, and respectful behaviour left a strong impression, creating a genuine Kiddush Sheim Lubavitch.

In previous years, the bochurim had the zechus of joining the Vizhnitzer Rebbe of Bnei Brak to complete his minyan during the retreat. Although the Rebbe was unable to attend this year, his past visits remain a source of inspiration and nachas for the entire yeshiva.

The retreat also included opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of Hashem’s creation, with walks along the beach, hikes up the Great Orme, and informal time spent relaxing and building friendships. Even these moments were infused with the spirit of achdus and yeshiva ruach.

As the bochurim returned to London, they brought with them renewed energy, strengthened bonds, and a deeper sense of purpose — ready to enter Elul with enthusiasm and focus.
