The fire, which is believed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit, quickly engulfed the yeshiva’s equipment storage building. The structure, which housed mattresses and essential supplies, was completely destroyed, and surrounding infrastructure sustained significant damage.
Despite the severity of the blaze and its proximity to the dormitories, the fire did not spread to the areas where the students live and learn. Witnesses at the scene could not help but recognize the clear hand of divine providence in the outcome, preventing what could have been a tragic disaster.
The yeshiva now faces the challenge of rebuilding and replacing the lost equipment. The administration is calling on the wider community to assist in this time of need.
