We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Pola Slavin, matriarch of a large Chabad family, on Thursday Chol Hamoed Sukkos 5782.
Mrs. Slavin was in the Soviet Union in the 1920’s. She was married to Rabbi Yosef Chaim Slavin who directed Bais Rivka in Montreal.
After the tragic passing of her husband in 1972, she lived a life of quiet determination and was the matriarch of a large and loving family.
She is survived by her children: Mrs. Bronya Shaffer – Crown Heights, R’ Michoel Slavin – Crown Heights, Mrs. Esther Frimerman – Crown Heights, Mrs. Feige Hazdan – Johannesburg, South Africa, Mrs. Ady Singer – Crown Heights, Mrs. Chani Gniwisch – Montreal, Canada, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The levaya will be held today, 2:00 pm at Shomrai Hadas and passing by 770 at approximately 3:00 pm. Burial at Montefiore Cemetery at 3:45 pm.
