In honor of Yud Aleph Nissan – the Rebbe MH”M’s 123rd Birthday, after 78 niggunim were submitted, the special vaad tasked with choosing the new niggun for this year’s Kapitel has finally made their decision.
The vaad consisted of Baal Hamenagim: Rabbi Eliyahu Eidelman, Rabbi Schneur Zalman Baumgarten, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Jerufi, Rabbi Sholom Dovber (Berel) Zucker, Rabbi Schneur Zalman Lipskier, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Reitzes, and Rabbi Schneur Zalman Laufer.
The niggun was chosen with a majority vote, and without any doubt, the niggun was chosen was written by Rabbi Yisroel Granovetter of Crown Heights (Niggun #35).
