The Shluchim of YGL London arranged for a marathon of Megilla readings, where over 2,000 flocked to “the Purim center” to hear the Megilla which was read every hour on the hour.
Located in the Mechina on Finchley road, the Purim center attracted many to the beautifully decorated Beis Medrash, filled with delicious refreshments and hot drinks.
2 of UK’s largest billboards were rented, inviting all to come and hear the Megilla, as well as wishing everyone a “Happy Purim”.
Aside from the Purim center, the Shluchim arranged dozens of Megilla readings in schools, homes of those who were unable to make it to the Purim center, as well as old age homes across London.
“I’m amazed by these incredible Yeshiva students, who go out of their way to make sure every Jew in London will hear the Megilla on Purim”, said one of the participants who came in from Edgware, exclaiming how she was excited to see the billboards which invited her to join the Purim center.
The billboards were made possible by Reb Avraham Weisz and Mr. Stephen Lever.
