Kinus Hashluchim 5778, the International Conference of Shluchim, is less than three weeks away! The Va’ad HaKinus is busy preparing this year’s Kinus, which promises to be bigger and better than the previous ones.

On Wednesday afternoon, 26th of Cheshvan, Shluchim will register for the Kinus, receiving a gift and their badge to accompany them during the Kinus, which will span until Sunday Night, 1st of Kislev.

The official opening of the Kinus takes place on Shabbos Parshas Toldos in 770, with the Rebbe’s Farbrengen, with sessions before and after Shabbos, and a Gala Banquet on Motzoei Shabbos.

After consultation with veteran Shluchim and Mashpiim, the Va’ad HaKinus has chosen the theme for this year’s convention: “שלח נא ביד תשל”ח – I40 Years Since Rosh Chodesh Kislev”.

A member of the Va’ad Hakinus told ChabadInfo.com the reason for this theme:

The theme of the Kinus is connected with Moshiach, because the last Sicha in which the Rebbe addressed the Kinus HaShluchim in the year 5752, the Rebbe said that the sole mission of the Shluchim is “to prepare the world for the coming of Moshiach.” This means that the purpose of every action and activity has to be for the goal of bringing Moshiach.

This will be in conjunction with thanking Hashem for the Rebbe MH”M’s recovery, forty years ago on Rosh Chodesh Kislev.
