On Tuesday evening, in Jerusalem’s Safra Square, a ceremony took place in which a new ambucylce unit was inaugurated. The new unit, which has been called ‘The Dr. Miriam and Sheldon Adelson ambucycle unit’, is comprised of 150 new United Hatzalah ambucycles that are now being deployed by the organization across Israel already at the end of the ceremony. Israel’s IDF is sending a delegation to Miami to assist in search and rescue efforts, Defense Minister Benny Gantz said on Motzei Shabbos. As well, United Hatzalah, in cooperation with El Al, sent a Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit to assist victims of the disaster by providing psychological support • Full Story
On Thursday night, hundreds of United Hatzalah volunteers gathered in Meron to mark the Shloshim of those that perished in the horrific tragedy. The Shloshim was marked with a Kumzitz in the bleachers area with the Hatzalah members singing together “Kerachem Av”, a heartfelt song by Shragee Gestetner A”H, a singer who was one of those killed in this horrific incident.
