The Bolshaya Bronya community in Russia’s capital city, under the auspices of longtime Shliach Rabbi Yitzchok Kogan, held their yearly grand Chanukah event on Sunday, the first night of Chanukah. Many members of the community at large, as well as students in the Machon Ran Yeshiva, hosted in the shul, heard from the Shluchim Rabbis Kogan, Yehuda Segev Friedman, and Michoel Mishulovin. After news broke of the new mikvah being built in the Village of Lubavitch by venerated Russian Shliach Rabbi Yitzchok Kogan, several people voiced their concern, as it is known that the Rebbe MH”M opposed building a mikvah near the ohalim of our Rebbeim in the village. Rabbi Kogan, who oversees maintenance of Chabad-related holy sites in Russia, explained that he personally purchased land in the village, effectively disconnecting the project from any Lubavitch affiliated organization • Full Story
