A Matzeiva was erected at Har Hazeisim in Eretz Yisroel for Rabbi Gershon Mendel Garelik, OB”M, the Rebbe’s Shliach to Milan Italy who passed away on Shabbos Rosh Chodesh Adar at the age of 89.

One of the songs that Rabbi Gershon Mendel Garelik OB”M used to sing regularly was “Vehaya Bayom Hahu”, which was also sung during his Levaya in front of 770. Following his passing, we present a collection from a number of events in which he sang the melody during Farbrengrens, as well as a performance by the Chabad singer R. Simcha Friedman and his family accompanied by R. Avrohom Hollander in which this moving melody was sung • Videos
Dozens of people from all over Israel gathered on Tuesday morning at the Shamgar Funeral Home in Yerushalayim, to accompany the Shliach to Milan Rabbi Gershon Mendel Garelik on his final journey (after he passed in front of 770 the day before).
