Tens of members of the Chevra Kadisha of Aguch were seen in 770 on Friday 15 Kislev reading Krias Hatorah both in the morning and afternoon.
The group was following an age old tradition to fast on the day, reading kriah and saying selichos, as is customary on a fast day.
The group then proceeded to Old Montefiore Cemetery, where they recited customary tefilos, as well as visited the Lubavitcher sections across the large cemetery to inspect their condition.
Following their return from the cemetery they davened mincha, again reading krias hatorah and the haftorah for fast days.
They broke their fasts on Shabbos by their Friday night meals.
