While en route to Eretz Yisroel for a special visit to local chassidim, the Satmar Rebbe, Horav Aharon Teitelbaum stopped by the mivtzoim stand operated by Chabad of the Airport.
The Satmar Rebbe spoke to the bochurim manning the stand, praising Chabad’s work, including that of Rabbi Yossi Rapp, director of Chabad at the Airport, who reaches out to hundreds of flight-bound passengers in JFK’s Terminal 4.
While the Satmar Rebbe was waiting in the terminal’s shul, the bochurim presented him with a timely gift, the newly reprinted Kuntres Chof Ches Sivan, which was originally printed in honor of the 50 year celebration in 5751. The kuntres contains a recollection of the Rebbe MH”M and Rebbetzin’s journey to chatzi kadur hatachton during World War II, as well as sichos and maamorim the Rebbe said in connection to this special day.
