Community members in Tzfas were shocked to find the Matzeiva of their beloved Rov, Harav Levi Bistritzky, OB”M, vandalized.
Since the morning, a forensic team spent time working to uncover clues on who vandalized the Matzeiva and have since arrested two suspects.
Rabbi Bistritzky served as the Rov of the Tzfas community for many years and was a member of the Israeli Rabbinate’s Kashrus department until his passing.
Many years ago while checking in on a store under his Hashgacha, a man tried to run Rabbi Bistritzky over and harm him.
A member of Anash in Tzfas told Chabad Info‘s local correspondent that the community is very shocked by this incident and there has been beautiful peace and Achdus between memebers of the local community despite different opinions and this is due to the hard work of the current Rov, Harav Mordechai Bistritzky, and the community does not welcome these acts of vandalism.
