Moscow Community Visits Resting Place of Famous Chief Rabbi
Monday, 14 Sivan, was the yartzeit of Harav Hagaon Hachosid Meshulam Yeshayahu Zusia Shub OBM, who served as the Chief Rabbi in the Soviet Union, even under the most intensely oppressive years of Communist rule. Known as the Boyder Rov, Rabbi Shub was buried in Moscow after his passing. Led by Kazakhstan Shliach Rabbi Mendy Zalmanov, a delegation from the Russian capital’s Jewish community visited the rabbi’s resting place on his yartzeit.
