Israeli President Greeted at Historic Turkish Synagogue, Given Aliyah
While on a historic trip to the Muslim country of Turkey, Israeli President was greeted in Istanbul’s historic Neve Shalom synagogue packed wall to wall. Herzog was called for an aliyah to the Torah, as well as given a special recognition from leaders of the local Jewish community.
