30 Shluchim from across France attended a two-day comprehensive course on the laws of Chuppa V’Kiddushin, learning about a variety of issues that arise when officiating a Jewish wedding.
The course was given by Rabbi Yochanan Gurary, Chief Rabbi of Holon and a member of Beis Din Rabbonei Chabad in Eretz Yisroel as well as Rabbi Pinchas Althaus, member of Holon’s Rabbinate. It was hosted in Chabad of Creteil.
This comes as two separate Jewish identity related stories have shaken up the Jewish world.
The shluchim familiarized themselves with many of the practical laws and customs of officiating a proper chuppah. They discussed a variety of topics, such as the halachos of kosher witnesses, yuchsin, the kesuba, the ring, the terms used to affect the marriage, among other topics.
