On a recent trip to the US, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon was invited by the Port Authority of NY and NJ to tour the newly built One World Trade Center (Freedom Tower) and 9/11 Memorial Museum.
In addition to Israeli Consul General Ido Aharoni and Port Authority Executive Director Pat Foye, Rabbi Mendy Carlebach – Chabad Shliach in North & South Brunswick was invited to take part in his capacity as Chaplain of the Port Authority Police Department of NY & NJ.
Rabbi Carlebach was sure to mention the Rebbe’s directive of Shleimus Haaretz and Minister Yaalon expressed appreciation for the essential provisions sent to the soldiers of the IDF during Operation Protective Edge by students of Chabad Rutgers and Camp Gan Israel of Central NJ.
