Rabbi Mendel and Gitty Fayershteyn have been tapped to develop and direct youth programs under the auspices of Chabad of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Rabbi Moishe Meir Lipszyc has been at the helm of leadership of Chabad of East Fort Lauderdale for the last 31 years.
Since 1986, when over $40 million was invested in the renovation of East Fort Lauderdale, the city has been redefined as an international center for recreation and leisure, as well as for business and culture.
Fort Lauderdale’s younger population is rapidly growing, with over seven high schools filled with Jewish teens, and with many young Jewish professionals moving to the area in search of job opportunities.
The Fayershteyns will be working primarily with teens and young professionals with the official opening of CTeen and Chabad Young Jewish Professionals in the city.
They will also hold seasonal Shabbos Minyanim near the Beach in Fort Fort Lauderdale.
