Flagship Chabad School to Remain Closed
Crown Heights’s largest school will not be opening its doors tomorrow, Monday, to resume their regular schedule, due to financial constraints • Full Story
As parents prepare to send their children off to school once again after an extended Pesach break, one school surprised them with a message. Associated Beis Rivkah Schools, Crown Heights’s largest girls school, has issued a notice addressed to teachers and parents that they will not be resuming their regular school day tomorrow, May 2 – כ”ד ניסן, “due to unresolved financial matters”.
The closure applies to the Pre-1 A, Elementary, and High School divisions. Head-start and Early Head-start are unaffected, and will resume as scheduled.
Beis Rivkah will keep teachers and parents updated as additional information becomes available.
This isn’t the first time Beis Rivkah was forced to shut its doors because of financial strain. Multiple times in recent years the school delayed resuming school, often for short periods of time and affecting only select divisions.
