What do Rabbis Braun & Schwei say about this?
Very misleading headline. The CRC article makes it clear that there is a good deal of leniency in using this material as schach. Plus the article concedes that 1) one cover may not be enough 2) when the reeds get broken the leniency may not work. Furthermore they do not consider whether the original manufacturer might have had another use in mind when creating this matting, making the whole thing possul. What someone markets as fencing may have been designed as floor mats by another. Schach with a good hechsher is bound with material that is not mekabel tumah and is made specifically for schach without fear of it being intended for another purpose.
