We regret to inform you of the passing of Rabbi Yekusiel Green, longtime mashpia and author of many seforim on Chassidus. He passed away today, 2 Adar I.
He was 78 years old.
He was born on 4 Kislev 5704 to Rabbi Dovid and Sarah Green. His mother was the daughter of the well known mashpia Rabbi Chaim Moshe Alperovich.
He grew up in Eretz Yisroel and traveled to the Rebbe MH'”M for the first time in 5723, when he subsequently joined the yeshiva in 770.
After returning to Eretz Yisroel he married Rochel Levin, daughter of Rabbi Binyomin Levin. The couple settled in Kfar Chabad.
Rabbi Green was a talented writer, utilizing his talents to write books on Chassidus, allowing for the study of Chassidus to spread even further. He authored over a dozen seforim on Chassidus, which have received wide acclaim.
He is survived by his children; Rabbi Binyomin Green, – Kfar Chabad, Mrs. Chana Kurant – Kfar Chabad, Mrs. Nechama Lieberow – Crown Heights, and Mrs. Leah Friedman – Kfar Chabad.
