With great sadness we regret to inform you of the passing of Rabbi Yehuda Leib Groner, OB”M, one of the Mazkirim of the Rebbe MH”M and one of the directors of Kupas Rabbeinu. He passed away Tuesday night, the 14th of Nissan. He was 88-years-old
He has reportedly passed away after contracting the Coronavirus.
Rabbi Groner was born in the year 5691 to Rabbi Avraham Yeshaya and Mrs. Menucha Rochel Groner, descendants of the Alter Rebbe.
In the year 5710, the Rebbe asked Rabbi Groner to join his secretariat where Rabbi Groner served the Rebbe faithfully until his last days.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Yehudis Groner (nee Gurevitz), and their children, Rabbi Yossi Groner – Charlotte, NC; Rabbi Menachem Mendel Groner – Kiryat Gat, ER”Y; Mrs. Gitty Levin – Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Mrs. Sara Tennenbaum – Crown Heights; Mrs. Chaya Sandhaus – Crown Heights; Mrs. Sheina Wilhelm – Crown Heights; Rabbi Aron Groner – Pomona, NY; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
