With great sadness we report the passing of R’ Meir Aaron Schreiber, OB”M, a longtime resident and community activist of Crown Heights. He passed away following an illness on Wednesday, the 4th of Elul. He was 69-years-old.
R’ Meir Schreiber moved to Crown Heights in 1976, and was a lawyer by profession. He was well known as a Baal Tzedaka, and was one of the founders of Camp Chayolei Hamelech, in its original Gan Menachem days.
He ran for Vaad Hakohol in 2010, and was involved for many years in community manners.
He is survived by his children Moshe Schreiber – Crown Heights; Yitzi Schreiber – Australia; Mendy Schreiber – (Silver Spring, MD; Zalmy Schreiber – Crown Heights; Elky Cole – Las Vegas, NV; and Estee Majerczyk – Crown Heights.
The Levaya will take place tomorrow, Thursday, leaving Shomrei Hadas at 12:00pm, and passing 770 at around 1:00pm.
