The Chabad House at Rutgers University serves as a home away from home, a spiritual oasis for the thousands of Jewish students who roam the halls of the prestigious institution.
From far and wide, students come to study at Rutgers to achieve higher education, but regrettably, often times their Judaism is compromised in the process.
Enter Chabad House at Rutgers University, serving not only the students, but also the larger Jewish community throughout Central and South New Jersey for more than 43 years.
Each year, the dedicated Rabbis and their teams provide over 20,000 Shabbat and holiday meals and programs, teach over 1,200 Torah classes, distribute thousands of Menorahs for Chanukah, Matzos for Pesach, and much more.
Equally important, however, is the spiritual presence during the bustling and often overwhelming day of the students.
Through counseling and offering guidance, or simply being a kind and welcoming presence, Chabad House at Rutgers University helps students navigate their most formative years as they grow to become the leaders of tomorrow.
