Last night over 100 men and 50 women attended the shloshim of the chossid Reb Chaim Serebryanski, OB”M, the gathering took place in the ‘Eshel Hall’ of Crown Heights.
Shliach Rabbi Sholom Raichik of Maryland and son-in-law of R’ Chaim emceed the farbrengen. Rabbi Yossi Sereebryansky, oldest son of R’ Chaim and Rov in Canarsie made the siyum. Shliach Rabbi Eli Serebryansky, from Toronto, son of R’ Chaim, taught the Maamar “Kol s’hRuach Ha’Briyos” from Sefer HaMaamarim Yiddish, as R’ Chaim requested.
Honoring R’ Chaim’s life were Rabbi Aharon Yaackov Shwei and Rabbi Yosef Yeshaya Braun, members of the Beis Din of Crown Heights, and Rabbi Shlomo Majesky, Mashpia at Machon Chana.
It is well-known that amongst all the inyonim of the Rebbe, Reb Chaim cared deeply for the proper respect towards the Rabbonim of the Beis din of Crown Heights.
Reb Chaim was very involved in many community issues and more importantly – solutions. The strong desire Reb Chaim had for the coming of Moshiach and for spreading out to everyone “Moshiach”, is something every chosid has to take as a true example of how a chosid should act.
