United as One, Toronto Celebrates Lag Baomer with Two Separate, Massive Chabad Events
2,500 people come out to celebrate together lag Ba`omer in the north part of Toronto. At the same time as 1,000 attended a simultaneous event in Toronto’s southern community, as smiling children had lots of fun, adults put on Tefilin and everyone enjoyed a great BBQ. At the same time as 1,000 attended a simultaneous event in Toronto’s southern community, as smiling children had lots of fun, adults put on Tefilin and everyone enjoyed a great BBQ. The two events were coordinated by tens of local Shluchim, who came together in the merit or Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.
Thursday afternoon thousands came outside North Toronto’s Swartz/Reisman Centre and South Toronto’s Earl Bales Park where they watched a wonderful show.
Representatives children of every Chabad house came up to recite the 12 Pesukim, followed by marching parade.
Inflatables, rides, carnival, BBQ and food court, pony rides, carnival booths, cossesion machines, bonfire, game truck and more at both events, the Lag Baomer spirit was felt in the air!
Many people had a great time with their community by booths the shluchim made for their communities.
