Chief Rabbi of Turkey Hahambaşı Izak Haleva, together with Shliach to Turkey Rabbi Mendy Chitrik, received Rabbi Yeshaya Cohen, Senior Shliach and Chief Rabbi of Kazakhstan, together with Rabbi Mordechai Cohen, Educational Director of Chabad of Almaty, Kazakhstan. A tweet from the official Twitter page of the Alliance of Rabbis in Islamic States mentioned that “The rabbis discussed religious practice and unique Jewish customs of Jews in Turkey and Kazakhstan”. The rabbis of both Turkey and Kazakhstan respectively are members of the Alliance.
