We regret to inform you of the passing of R’ Shlomo Weg, longtime resident of Crown Heights and the patriarch of a large Chabad family.
He was 88 years old.
Rabbi Shlomo grew up in Siberia in the Soviet Union and emigrated from Russia to the United States at the age of 14 after a brief stay in a DP camp.
He is survived by his children: Rabbi Avrohom Weg – Crown Heights, Rabbi Yehuda Weg – Oklahoma, Mrs. Matti Korf (Crown Heights), and Mrs. Batya Karp – Crown Heights.
His funeral will take place today (Thursday) and will pass in front of 770 at 3:00 PM on its way to the Montefiore Cemetery.
