Upstate New York’s Busy Route Gets Menorah
The busy Route 9 in Wappingers Falls, in the Mid-Hudson Valley region of New York, hosted its first-ever Public Menorah lighting, organized by the Shliach to the Mid-Hudson Valley, Rabbi Yaacov Borenstein ● Full Story, Pictures
For the first time, a Menorah was prominently displayed on busy Rt. 9 in Wappingers Falls on the grounds of Performance Motor Cars, to stay for the duration of the Chanukah Holiday.
Following the lighting of the Menorah on the second night of Chanukah, Wednesday December 17, a Chanukah party was held indoors with hot apple cider, doughnuts, hot latkes, dreidels and chocolate Chanukah gelt for all.
Much thanks to Mr. Jacob Lavian of Performance Motor Cars for sponsoring the event.
