In time for Yud Tes Kislev, a new book for children has been released. “A Diamond a Day” is an adaptation for children of Hayom Yom, the Rebbe’s classic compilation of chassidic customs and insights. The Hayom Yoms are explained in simple language and introduced with stories and mesholim to bring the lessons of Hayom Yom to life.
The book was written by Crown Heights resident Mrs. Chaya Shuchat, a prolific writer and author, with drawings by Avigail Najjar.
Rabbi Shloma Majeski, dean of Machon Chana, says, ““This Hayom Yom is an amazing accomplishment. It is written in a way that will enable young children to understand and appreciate these precious daily gems.”
Rabbi Yosef Y. Simpson, principal of United Lubavitch Yeshiva on Crown Street, is also enthusiastic. He says, “It is an invaluable sefer, especially for this day and age, which brings out Chassidic concepts for children in a practical and engaging way.”
The book will be available Yud Tes Kislev in Crown Heights bookstores, or can be purchased online at diamondpublications.org
