A letter was written by Mrs. Shternie Ginsberg, Shlucha of Boro Park, regarding the current situation with her father, Rabbi Aharon Yaacov Schwei, Mara D’asra of Crown Heights, who is currently on a respirator due to Coronavirus

    Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for your tehillim! Many of you have asked for updates… As crazy as it sounds, we are not getting regular updates from the hospital. The nurses and doctors are not able to talk to families. They are overwhelmed; they are busy saving lives. So — The only reliable update is how much tehillim is being said!

The last update we were told is that he is safely on the respirator, in critical but stable condition.

My father is the kind of person who, whenever we ask him for news, the first thing he says is, “We are one day closer to Moshiach.”
That’s the news he lives with.

Today, we know that we are one day closer to Moshiach and one day closer to the end of this very painful, precarious time… a time when we can envision and anticipate the geula, but yet we are still deeply pained by the terrible darkness of golus. Or maybe it’s the other way around. I’ll try that flip…

We are deeply pained by the golus, but yet we can already envision the geula. And we trust that there will be a complete refuah! For my father and for each of the precious, beloved people who are currently hurt by the virus.

The Hayom Yom is a sefer that has short teachings compiled by the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
There’s a unique message for every day on the calendar, but then there’s one message that’s for every day. It’s on the cover page.

    This is the message:
In the present time, when the entire world is trembling with the birth pangs of Moshiach, for Hashem has set fire to the walls of golus, every Jew, man and woman, old and young, must ask themselves:

What have I done and what am I doing to alleviate the birth pangs of Moshiach and to merit the complete geula with Moshiach Tzidkeinu?

There is no doubt that we are on the threshold of geula and this group is definitely doing something huge to attain a transition imbued with Hashem’s revealed chessed and rachamim!
On a global level, for all of Klal Yisroel and for every person who is suffering from golus.

And on a personal level, our family is feeling embraced by each of you who is taking the time to say another kapitel of tehillim and then one more.

Our gratitude is bigger than words, but for lack of words… it’s just thank you!!
Looking forward to sharing happy news with you soon!
