As part of the Bas Sheva Mitzvah campaign, Talmidim of United Lubavitcher Yeshiva were recognized for their countless hours of learning Tanya B’al Peh this year.
For well over a decade, Rabbi Mordechai and Mrs. Shterney Kanelsky of the Bris Avrohom Center in Hillside, NJ, have been encouraging extra learning and Mitzvos to be done in honor of their infant daughter, Bas Sheva, OB”M, who passed away in 2003.
One of the many projects that were launched by the Kanelsky family was Mivtza Tanya B’al Peh.
Once again this year, Rabbi and Mrs. Kanelsky came to United Lubavitcher Yeshiva to award all those who participated in this wonderful Mivtza with certificates and cash awards.
Over 10,000 lines of Tanya were accumulated and over 150 Talmidim received awards.
Rabbi Kanelsky inspired the Talmidim as he shared with them his personal story when the Rebbe tested him in Yechidus on Tanya B’al Peh when he was 9 years old.
Rabbi Simpson addressed the audience with warm words. The Talmidim listened attentively as Rabbi Simpson explained the importance and the impact the holy words of Torah have.
