Recent days have seen the launch of a new app, named TahorApp, which seeks to minimize or eliminate the need to bring your questions to a Rav. The user sends the question to a Rabbi on the TahorApp, and receives an answer.

Four leading Chabad Rabbis have voiced their staunch opposition to this app, prohibiting the usage of the app and stating that rulings made via the app are invalid.

    The Rabbis are:

Rabbi Yekusiel Farkash, the foremost expert on Hilchos Niddah (Jerusalem, Israel) and author of Tahara K’Halacha.

Rabbi Gedalya Oberlander, Rov of Heichal Menachem – Monsey, and member of the Beis Din in Monsey.

Rabbi Pesach Schmerling, Rov for Anash and Shliach to Far Rockaway.

Rabbi Sholom Shuchat, Rov in Brooklyn.
