The first wave of guests from around the world has arrived in Crown Heights to celebrate Tishrei with the Rebbe.

With the new year just a week away, and Shabbos Slichos beginning tomorrow, hundreds of Anash, Shluchim, Bochurim and Girls were seen coming out of Taxis that dropped them off outside 770, where they were welcomed by their friends who arrived earlier.

Eshel – Hachnosas Orchim, the organization tasked with providing the guests with all their needs, spiritual and physical, has opened their offices, and were kept busy throughout the day, giving out keys, providing directions, and answering questions.

Starting Sunday, Eshel – Hachnosas Orchim will go into full operational mode, providing food for the guests, and arranging Shiurim and Farbrengens, as they have done for over 40 years, starting with the founder Rabbi Moshe Yeruslavsky OBM, and continuing until today, under the director Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hendel.

ChabadInfo.com reporter managed to track down one of the executive officers in Eshel – Hachnosas Orchim, and heard some details about the new and exciting programs for the year.

The Torah Study department, headed by Rabbi Yechiel Michel Gorelik, has completed preparing all the learning material for the Summer, written by a team of respected scholars, such as Rabbi Menachem Mendel Friedman, Rosh Kollel of Ramat Aviv; and Rabbis Sholom Ber Wolf, Isser Springer and Levi Niselevich, Maggidei Shiur in the Chabad Yeshivos in Tzfas.

The lodging department has been busy for the past week, building beds, cleaning out rooms, and schlepping mattresses to ensure every guest has a safe, clean and comfortable place to sleep.
