As we prepare ourselves for Pesach, we mustn’t ignore the unbearable pain and suffering of many of our fellow Anash and Shluchim in Israel. Due to recent financial troubles, they are sadly unable to provide their families with basic holiday needs, while the skyrocketing costs of Matza and other necessities do nothing to ease their plight, making the ancient mitzvah of Ma’os Chittim as relevant as ever.
For this reason, the “Adopt A Family” fund (under the direct supervision of Harav Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky) leads a campaign to raise urgently needed “Ma’os Chittim”, a cause the Rebbe greatly championed, and the money received by the fund is directed in its entirety towards alleviating the unbearable stress these families must bear and will bring them enormous Simchas Yom Tov.
