A Chabad couple who were in Muscat, Oman for official purposes, took the opportunity to print the 7,300 edition of the Tanya in the Gulf country.

The couple were inspired to make the effort knowing how much nachas the Rebbe had whenever a new Tanya was printed. In addition, Oman is a stable country in a complicated region and plays a large role in peacemaking between regional powers, including Israel.

The couple noted what the Rebbe said many times about printing the Tanya, that it was not only beneficial to the yidden living in that country, but to all residents. Therefore, the importance of keeping this country stable and safe was also their intention for this project.

Once the first copies were printed, the couple went around Muscat, the Capital of Oman, to learn from the freshly printed Tanya, outdoors, in order to ‘purify’ the air (HaYom Yom 11 Teives).

The Oman printing is one of the last Middle Eastern countries which did not yet have a Tanya printed there.

The management of the different printings around the world is administered by Rabbi Sholom Jacobson, of Crown Heights.

In May, Shmuli Butler managed to successfully print the first Tanya in Doha, Qatar.
