The fun and trips in SGP just doesn’t stop. In The beginning of last week, the Bochurim were treated to a survival excursion late night, culminating in a grand SGP “Gaga” game. As the boys already know, there is no such thing as “ordinary” late night in SGP, and they were right. The evening finally came to a close, but not before the Bochurim were introduced to the latest addition to the SGP family; a brand new, state of the art, commercial slush machine! Exclusively for the use of SGP. After each Bochur got his cup of either fruit punch or Coca-Cola flavored slush, they finally went to bed.

The next day, the brand new exciting Tomim program was introduced, each Bochur choosing areas in which he would gain and grow in his Chasidishkeit. The program has many different exciting parts to it such as exclusive food events, prizes, Chinese auctions, priority seating at plays to celebrate his achievements. Stay tuned for more exciting news, details and info about the Tomim program!

On Wednesday, the excitement in the Air could almost be felt, as the feeling of something exciting was going to be announced. And they were not disappointed when the head staff announced that the entire SGP was headed on a 2 day trip; overnight and ice skating!

The trip began as the boys packed for the trip, sleeping bags, insect repellant, flashlights etc.

Then, they headed to the river front, where they canoed down the Delaware River, all the way to the campsite. The occasional splashing, and bright smiles testified to the blast being had by all.

After “landing ashore” the Bochurim set up camp, pitching up tents, setting up sleeping bags and getting ready for a night of little sleep.

After Mariv, the Bochurim were treated to a deluxe BBQ, “SGP style”, complete with hot dogs, burgers, shish-kabobs, and the traditional condiments. After dinner, they headed over to the beautiful bonfire the staff put together. The boys spent the night roasting marshmallows, singing songs and nigunim, Farbrenging with staff, hearing story’s…

After a beautiful and inspiring (and tiring) night, the boys were woken up bright and early ready and eager for today’s part of the 2 day trip. After Shachris and a quick breakfast the busses rolled out of the campsite and on to ice skating where the Bochurim enjoyed ice skating in an amazing skating rink. After a quick stop for shopping, they finally made their way back to camp. Eagerly looking forward to some much needed and deserved rest.
