The seminal English version of Taharah Kahalachah has been out of print for some time. Now, a new, updated edition has been published and is available for purchase.

Taharah Kahalachah, authored by Rabbi Yekusiel Farkash, is a staple for the laws of taharas hamishpachah in thousands of homes worldwide. Since its first printing in 2015, the English translation has quickly joined its Hebrew counterpart as a valuable resource for these laws in every Jewish home.

Both Hebrew and English versions elucidate the relevant details and scenarios in a clear, user-friendly manner, allowing the reader to find necessary answers to any question he or she may have. Taharah Kahalachah strikes a balance many others work in this field do not have. It is not limited to the essentials of taharas hamishpachah alone, nor does it include every possible circumstance; rather, all the laws important to be aware of have been included, while those that are uncommon have been omitted.

Rabbi Yekusiel Farkash is a prominent halachic authority from Jerusalem. A noted author and lecturer, particularly in the laws of taharas hamishpachah, he is consulted by rabbis and laymen worldwide for his expertise in the sensitive, intricate issues related to this mitzvah. His rulings draw upon a wealth of knowledge, including the many decisions he heard personally from R. Shmuel Vozner (author of Shevet Halevi) and R. Meir Brandsdorfer (author of Knei Bosem), z”l. The translated English version has been prepared by Rabbi Yehuda Altein.

The new English printing includes many corrections to the previous translation, as well as a detailed index to assist users in finding exactly what they are looking for. Additionally, the book features a brand-new, exquisite cover, as well as a new title: The Laws of Family Purity.
