Netanyahu Congratulates Chabad of Ponte Vedra Beach

On Sunday May 31st, Chabad at the Beaches in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL held its annual anniversary dinner. Rabbi Nochum and Leah Kurinsky are co- directors of the Aaron and Blanche Scharf Chabad Center along with Rabbi Eli and Esther Wilansky.
Mr. Jeff Meyers was honored for his friendship, and support; and in appreciation of four consecutive years of fundraising leadership. Under his guidance Chabad’s gala has grown each and every year, both in attendance and financial success.
Congressman Ron Desantis was honored for his incredible support of the State of Israel and the Jewish people. Congressman Desantis is a friend of the Aaron and Blanche Scharf Chabad, and is an outspoken supporter of Israel’s right to defend herself and maintain her G-d given borders, with Jerusalem as her eternal capital.
Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu wrote a personal letter congratulating the Aaron and Blanche Scharf Chabad as well as the Congressman. This was also an act of “hakarat hatov” (reciprocating kindness), because Mr. Desantis led a successful effort in the US Congress this year, pushing the administration to congratulate Mr. Netanyahu on his win in this year’s historic election.
Mrs. Jerri Shwartz-Reich was also honored during the evening. Jerri has been an outstanding supporter and volunteer. She helped cooked many Shabbos meals, and assisted Rebbetzin Leah Kurinsky and Esther Wilansky in many of the women’s activities and Chabad events.
The evening was an incredible show of support from local as well as out of town supporters. People flew in from Jerusalem, New York and Miami for the evening. There were dozens of volunteers who worked hundreds of hours to make it happen.
The staff of The Aaron and Blanche Scharf Chabad house as well as the Dinner Chairman, Mr. Jeff Meyers, are extremely grateful to all of the donors, supporters, friends and family that involved themselves in so many ways.
