Rabbi Yossi Simon has been running Chayolei Tzivos Hashem in England, a unique program geared specifically to our own Lubavitch 11-12 year old boys, for ten years. This program was originally made in NY by Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum
The boys meet every Motzoei Shabbos and are empowered as the Rebbe’s Shluchim by taking the responsibility of saying the Hayom Yom, preparing and giving over a story, being the game master, Baal Menagen, Mivtzoyim coordinator and more.
In addition, there are Kashrus, Tefillin Tying and Tzitzits Making Workshops.
In the 2 weeks leading up to Chanukah, the boys built wooden Menora’s, which they can then use. For Chanukah itself, the boys are busy organizing Mivtzoyim and visits to Senior Homes and have even built a 6 foot menorah to go outside a store front.
As a lead up to Yud Shevat, an addition was started of Chassidus before Davening and the learning of the Maamer “Basi Legani”.
The program runs through Adar and then concludes with a Shabbaton and trip.
