Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, President Reuven Rivlin and Knesset Speaker MK Yariv Levin all sent letters of condolence to the family of the Shliach to Milan, Rabbi Gershon Mendel Garelik, following his passing.
“This is a great loss to you and to the entire Chabad movement. The close connection to the Rebbe gave Rabbi Garelik strength. The Rebbe – a unique and special beacon of love for Israel – strengthened him in his missions” wrote Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Knesset Speaker MK Yariv Levin wrote in his letter to the family members: “I would like to express my sincere condolences on my behalf and on behalf of the Knesset to his family members, children and the entire Chabad community. Know that his tremendous contribution is felt and will continue to be felt for generations. “
