“Shabbos Moshiach” that was planned for this coming Shabbos, Parshas Beshalach, was postponed due to an approaching storm. The historic Shabbaton was scheduled for the Shabbos after Yud Shvat, in Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Poconos nestled in the scenic mountains of Pennsylvania — a more than two hour drive from Crown Heights.

As weather forecasters began predicting heavy snow and stormy wind gusts, the organizers consulted with a member of the Crown Heights Beis Din on whether to go ahead with the event.

Due to the dire weather forecast, the Rov explained that there exists a danger in traveling the country roads in such conditions, as well as the risk that some people may not arrive in time for Shabbos, and thus be forced into the even greater danger of being stranded in such frigid weather.

Therefore, the organizers told ChabadInfo that the Shabbaton will take place with G-ds help after Pesach, by which time we will surely be all together in Yerushalaim with the complete redemption.
