Yesterday, the 6th of Iyar marked 25 years since the first time the full ‘Yechi’ was announced before the Rebbe.
The Psak Din
It was just over a week since the famous Sicha of 28 Nissan, 5751, and the tension and urge to do all you can was still in the air. It was then when Rabbi Dovid Nachshon came in from Eretz Yisroel to present the Rebbe with a Psak from Rabbonim that the Rebbe fits the criteria of Melech Hamoshiach based on the Rambam, and it is time for him to be revealed. The Rebbe accepted it warmly while answering “Yasher Koach. Yasher Koach”.
The announcement will be heard in all of Seder Hishtalshelus
That Shabbos, Parshas Tazria Metorah, the 6th of Iyar, 5751, the Rebbe spoke at the Farbrengen all about Moshiach and about us learning subjects of Moshiach in Torah being the straightest path to bring him. At the end of the Farbrengen before the customary distribution of Mashke, for all those making events etc. the Rebbe announced: “’it is a Mitzvah to publicize those who do Mitzvahs’, and this publicity is done in the entire world, and even in the entire Seder Hishtalshelus, and we merit to hear the announcement that ‘behold Moshiach has arrived, and the announcement will be heard in all of Seder Hishtalshelus’.”
The last one to receive a bottle of Mashke was R’ Dovid Nachshon. After he announced about his activities of the Psak Din etc., he said “Yechi Adoneinu Moreinu V’Rabbeinu Melech HaMoshiach L’Olam Vo’ed” 3 times, while the crowd answered and continued to sing to the smile of the Rebbe.
At the time the Shluchim office would send out a Fax to all Shluchim with news from 770. Motzai Shabbos, Rabbi Gedalyah ShemTov wrote to all Shluchim about the main events of the Shabbos, making mention of the special announcement.
