Preparations are under way this evening, as a team of designers busily transform 770’s interior into an opulent, elegant ballroom all without diminishing the inviolable sanctity of the Rebbe’s Shul.
The transformation and reorganization of 770 is in anticipation of the large number of attendees – almost entirely Shluchim, but some lay-leaders and benefactors as well – who will participate in this once-a-year gathering.
The Banquet is considered the high-point of the weekend Shluchim confab, throughout which the Shluchim strengthen their Hiskashrus to the Rebbe, and increase resolve in their mission of preparing the world to greet Moshiach.
