Due to the Coronavirus epidemic taking place in Eretz Yisroel, the Israeli Health Minister released new, strict guidelines on Wednesday afternoon, including for those arriving from oversees.
Due to the situation, ChabadInfo.com contacted the office of the Deputy Health Minister, Rabbi Yaakov Litzman, on what they recommend that Chassanim studying in 770 should do, due to reports that Israel’s borders are likely to be closed as a result of the Coronavirus.
The Minister’s Office responded to ChabadInfo.com:
“As of this moment, the US has nothing new, we have not yet closed the entry for U.S. immigrants and are not going to be isolated.”
But as the virus continues to spread and the death toll is increasing, policies can constantly change and the guidelines will follow. Anyone who is abroad and needs to come back soon should simply return and not look for difficulties.
