Despite the shock and great sadness we are all dealing with after the passing of Rabbi Yekutiel Rapp, OB”M, his son has declared he will be taking over his father’s Mivtzoim and Pe’ulois. Yossi Rapp will continue to do his father’s work at the nearby airports, working with EL-AL staff, as well as any other Jews coming to, or leaving New York.
For the past few years Yossi has already been involved in his father’s Shlichus. He has been helping in many areas, at JFK, Newark airport, and even at the American EL-AL headquarters. Throughout that time Yossi managed to build strong personal connections with many regulars at the airports. He was also able to get the network to grow by investing time and resources, simply to get more Jews involved in the activities.
We wish him much success with this Shlichus, preparing the world to greet Moshiach. Surely, his father will look down and be very proud of Yossi’s work. May we soon merit the complete redemption, when we will once again see Rabbi Rapp and he will proudly proclaim “Re’u Gidulim She’gidalti.”
