In light of the Mezuzah video that is going around, we at Merkaz Stam would like to let you know that every Mezuzah that we sell is first checked over by a Sofer beforehand.

Unfortunately, mistakes can happen. We are recommitting to be extra vigilant with our inexpensive (Mivtzoim) Mezuzuos and only give our customers the highest standards that you expected and trusted us with for over 40 years.

Mistakes do happen however , not on mezuzos, fire the sofer who checked your tefilin & mezuzos!

    2. MM Levy

Wait, if you really check every single mezuzah, then no mistakes should happen only lack of hiddur. From the video it seems like mezuzahs were sold which either needed significant fixing or not kosher at all.

    3. to MM Levi

      Your ignorance shines.

    4. Brains

Anyone who wants to find probloms can find probloms. Why do people even care what some random sofer in Chicago says? Not even lubavitch. Why are there no mikoros on the video? (The answer is that most things they take for granted that are pasul – cracks etc, are not pasol!!!!!!!!)

    5. answer to brains

You might as well throw the whole shulchan aruch out the window
It’s Halacha moshe misinay that if a letter is not golam echad (one piece totally connected) or if two letters are toching or even two parts of a letter it’s pasul. It says in the pasuk uchsavtam chazal translate it to ksav tam that every letter must be complete. Tagim are also Halacha moshe Misinay. And the alter rebbe paskins exactly that, along with all other poskim from shas to rishonim to acharonim etc
The stores that sell the junky Mezuzas (otherwise reffered to as shaymes) have to live with the fact that thousands of people could be making brochos levatolo on a daily basis because of their unprofessionalism.

Boruch hashem someone is finally dealing with it. !!!!!

      Moshiach now

    6. Sofer

      Defending brains.
Read biur halacha siman 32 siif 25, about small cracks. shulchan aruch alter rebbe siman 36 siif 1, 2 about the letter alef and daled.
The sofer who checked the mezuzos does not know halacha.

    7. Whatever

The Rebbe said to buy from the Sofer not from dealers in a yechidus to Dovid Raskin

    8. funny

so why is there a raskin who sells
