At one of the Yeshivas Erev locations, Rosh Chodesh Kislev was marked with a special program. It all started Wednesday night at the Agudah shul, when the fifth grade boys – catching the contagious excitement from their chassidishe madrichim – started singing the Rosh Chodesh Kislev Niggun as they prepared for Maariv.
This was followed by a much lebedike davening, in the spirit of this special day. Upon seeing the chayus and geshmak that the boys had in celebrating the ‘Rebbes day’, the madrichim oraganised a special surprise program for Thursday night.
After the usual time that the boys spent reviewing the material that they learned in yeshiva throughout the day, they sat down to listen to a special guest speaker Hatomim Mendel Bressinger, who captivated the boys with wonderful unknown details about the period after Simchas Torah leading to Rosh Chodesh Kislev.
The boys then said L’Chaim on grape juice and wished each other to strengthen their hiskashrus to the Rebbe, and be zoche to see the ultimate hisgalus of the Rebbe as Melech Hamoshiach.
After singing the Rosh Chodesh Kislev Niggun again and a terrific Maariv, the boys received a special treat to take home. Yeshivas Erev would like to thank Hatomin Mendel Bressinger for helping to make it happen.
