This time it will be an even bigger and better Mega-Hakhel Event for the entire community, which will take place tonight, Thursday, 26 Elul, with an amazing program of Sichos, Niggunim, entertainment, music and more.
Just before the end of the year of Hakhel, Tzivos Hashem, in conjunction with all schools and Shuls of Crown Heights, are arranging a mass gathering for the entire community: Men, Women and Children, in the spirit of ‘Chapt Arein’.
Hakhel was spoken about in the parting words of Moshe Rabeinu, and so it was that each 7th year, everyone, men, women and even small infants, gathered in the Beis Hamikdosh.
Since the destruction of the Beis Hamikdosh this Mitzvah has not been observed. Until the Rebbe created a commotion about Hakhel, asking everyone to get involved, in every way they can.
The program will be jam-packed with singers, entertainment, choirs, videos, a light show and more fun for all.
Heartfelt Niggunim will be played with a 15 piece band arranged by Choni melecki, with conduct by Avremi Gourarie.
Thousands are expected to attend the event, which will close off the main thoroughfare of Eastern Parkway. The program will begin at 7:30 pm sharp.
A special children’s choir by Fitcha Benshimon, and an adult choir by Yossi Cohen will be part of the entertainment. Benny Freidman will be singing and inspiring the crowd to have the Hakhel year continue to effect are life till the next Hakhel in Yerushalayim, with the coming of Moshiach now.
