Thieves Caught After Attempted Robbery
On Sunday evening, three black males attempted to steal pieces of jewelry worn by two Jewish women in Crown Heights. When the victims shouted in fright, the thieves instantly fled from the scene. On Sunday evening, three black males attempted to steal pieces of jewelry worn by two Jewish women in Crown Heights.
When the victims shouted in fright, the thieves instantly fled from the scene. A Shmira member was able to arrive immediately and followed the three to a Utica Ave bus stop where they boarded a bus.
NYPD was flagged down by a Shmira member, and after hearing the story, stopped the bus to arrest the predators. They quickly tried to run away but after a brief foot pursuit, all three males were placed under arrest.
The three black males who aged 17 to 19 years old were taken to the 71st Precinct and charged with attempted robbery.
