A 911 call regarding gunshots on Sterling Place led officers guided by an NYPD helicopter into the dormitory building of the Central Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva located at 749 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights on Wednesday, in the late afternoon.
Police conducted the search for 2 young men who were seen by police on the roof of the building, holding what appeared to be a Taser or BB gun.
Unsure of the exact address officers flooded the area and entered three buildings, 749, 755 and 763 Eastern Parkway and began searching for the guns spotted by the aviation unit.
They were spotted by chance, after a police helicopter searched the area for a suspect in an unrelated shooting on nearby Clarkson Avenue.
After spotting them on the roof, police officers entered the building to search for the two people and to inquire about the weapons.
A dorm resident told ChabadInfo that there was a Bochur put in handcuffs, but not arrested. They took off the handcuffs shortly after.
